Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (n. 5 de mayo de 1988) conocida simplemente como Adele, es una cantautora inglesa de pop, blues y jazz, ganadora de ocho Premios Grammy y tres Brit Awards.
Su primer álbum de estudio titulado 19 se lanzó en 2008. Ha vendido aproximadamente siete millones de copias alrededor del mundo. Su segundo álbum de estudio titulado 21 salió en 2011 y hasta el momento ha vendido más de 18.5 millones de ejemplares y ha sido durante 35 semanas no consecutivas el álbum más vendido del mundo. 21 fue el álbum más vendido en 2011 y ocupa el puesto 81 de los álbumes más vendidos de toda la Historia. En total, las ventas de todas sus producciones musicales superan los 78 millones de copias, repartidas en más de 30 millones de discos y alrededor de 42 millones de sencillos.
La cantante ha logrado el éxito con sus suaves melodías pop, blues, en vez del electro pop, lo que la convierte en una de exponente del llamado neo soul.
De su álbum 21, ha logrado tres número #1 consecutivos en USA: Rolling in the Deep, Someone Like You y Set Fire to the Rain.
